Rev. Matthew Harrison - “Liturgy & The Youth” (2011)
        - In this video from 1995 the Rev. Matthew Harrison speaks to a group of pre-seminary students attending
Concordia University, River Forest (now Concordia University, Chicago) while at a retreat concerning the importance
of the liturgy in the life and spiritual formation of our youth. This short presentation, though several years old, is
just as applicable this day as it was when Pastor Harrison first gave the presentation.
A quote from Pr. Harrison’s presentation:
“With well-intentioned zeal to set our youth on the firm foundation of Christ, we’ve been taking from them with
one hand the very thing we’ve been so striving to give them with the other. In calling our youth to serious
repentance and faith and discipleship we have been using means which have totally trivialized these deep
                  verities.”
This presentation was originally captured on video cassette in 1995. Over the years
the recording has degraded somewhat. While every effort was made to clarify and
enhance the video and audio tracks, it is certainly not “DVD quality.”
The content, however, is most certainly worthwhile.

Higher Things Youth Conference - CORAM DEO (July 12-15, 2011)
CORAM DEO? What exactly does "Coram Deo" mean? Well, its Latin for "before God," as in His
presence, under His reign, etc. Think a bit about living Coram Deo, before God. What does it mean that
you live Coram Deo? Under the Law, life before God is terrifying. It is living under His judgment and
wrath. But under the Gospel, life before God is beautiful, a restoration of what God intended when He
              made Man in the beginning.

This 3-disc DVD set includes the following…

      – Four plenary sessions (2 each) - Rev. William Cwirla (President, Higher Things) and Rev. Brent Kuhlman (Board of
